A new digital application process for the Transport for NSW Mobility Parking Scheme (MPS) has been launched by Minister for Customer Services and Digital Government, Jihad Dib, making it easier for people to apply for, renew and replace MPS permits online.
To support the new digital application process, Transport for NSW and HealthLink, part of global health tech company Lanas, have released a new online Mobility Parking Scheme (MPS) Medical Certificate SmartForm. The new HealthLink SmartForm makes the process of applying for an MPS permit easier and faster for healthcare professionals and their patients.
Several key joint objectives have been achieved through the digital MPS project:
- Real-time submission and faster processing of applications for new, renewed or replacement permits, reducing the need for some patients to visit a Service NSW Centre to hand in a paper form, saving travel and waiting time.
- Reduced workflow disruption for healthcare professionals through integration with existing Transport for NSW digital forms and leading Practice Management Systems.
- Secure digital capture and storage of medical information, maintaining patient confidentiality.
HealthLink Commercial Operations Manager David Frick said:

HealthLink SmartForms technology has been used by healthcare professionals in NSW to refer patients from their PMS to other organisations for over 10 years.
The new MPS online solution seamlessly integrates into leading practice management software, including Best Practice, MedicalDirector Clinical, MedicalDirector Helix, Genie, Medtech Evolution, Zedmed, Communicare and Shexie Platinum, using HealthLink SmartForms. The MyHealthLink Portal can also be used by referring practitioners who don’t have a SmartForm-compliant PMS.
