HealthLink is pleased to introduce a new referral form that allows you to refer your patients easily for bulk-billed Perinatal Mental Health Support through Gidget Foundation Australia 🌸.
With 1 in 5 mothers and 1 in 10 fathers in Australia suffering from perinatal depression and anxiety (PNDA), it’s crucial that all families can access specialised mental health support.
Gidget Foundation Australia provides bulk-billed individual and group psychological therapy services for expectant, new and potential parents nationwide. Services are provided by a perinatal mental health clinician, delivered in-person at one of our Gidget Houses or via the Telehealth program, Start Talking.
→ Electronic referrals are preferred via secure HealthLink messaging using HealthLink EDI: gidgetfa
→ Payment for services are covered by Medicare bulk billing under the Better Access Initiative.
→ To access this funding, a GP Referral and a Mental Health Treatment Plan are required. Referral templates compatible with your practice management software are available to download here.
