GP Subscription Update

At HealthLink, we move fast, try new things, and are proud of the new features we’re building to support general practice – including analytics and upcoming AI tools.

Last year, we explored introducing a single, flat pricing model. We thought it would make things simpler. We got that wrong — and we’ve heard that loud and clear.

While many practices operate in similar ways, each one is unique. A one-size-fits-all approach simply doesn’t work when it comes to services that matter. What we’ve consistently heard from GPs, practice managers, and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners is that choice matters.

So, after months of consultation and in close collaboration with the RACGP, we’re introducing two new service options:

• HealthLink Essential – built to keep things as close to today as possible, with continued access to SmartForms, referrals and diagnostics at no cost, plus improved security and contractual protections, for a flat $12 annual fee per practice.
• HealthLink Professional – a fully optional subscription for practices that want to access new features and services, priced at $40/month per practice, with no volume or per-doctor charges. Over the coming months you will see announcements of our new features.

Importantly, if practices prefer not to opt in to either plan, they can continue on their existing HealthLink service and terms — nothing changes.

There are no switching costs. No volume-based pricing. No penalties for growing. And when Professional launches, we’ll be offering it free of charge until early 2026, so every practice can explore what’s new and decide what works best for them.
